Am I Right for You?

Statistically, I probably am not right for you—but if I am, then there’s a good chance that I am the lighthouse you’ve been seeking for a very long time and were beginning to doubt you’d ever find.

I don’t do anything that revolves primarily around SEO, AI, algorithms, clicks, KPIs, or “engagement,” although I do take on a few select clients in the e-commerce space (and I love the ones I have because our values and mission are closely aligned).

I am not a “vibe” editor, a trend chaser, a rapid-release writer, a marketer, a copywriter, or a blogger, and I am definitely not an AI trainer or an “AI writer” (a self-contradictory phrase if ever there was one).

By contrast, I am:

• a classically trained rhetorician from Aristotle to John Adams,
• an exclusively craft-focused novelist and short story writer,
• a fiction writing coach who teaches and guides from first principles,
• a quality-obsessed editor of both fiction and nonfiction, and
• a meticulous nonfiction writer and ghostwriter.

Today, these things are generally regarded as largely or even entirely separate disciplines. They are, in fact, integrated, complementary, and deeply codependent aspects of writing. One can gain competence in only one or a few of these areas; that’s a perfectly legitimate goal, and such specialists can provide much-needed services.

I provide a different service that is by nature slower, more difficult, less marketable—and exponentially more powerful. My calling in life is to master writing as such, in all of its forms and in service of all of its ends. The overlapping benefits of this approach are nearly limitless: Clean rhetorical technique amplifies the emotional impact of storytelling; conceptual precision dramatically enhances the use value of self-help books; substantive character arcs bolster the credibility of a consultant’s recommendations; so on and so forth.

In other words, whereas most writers or editors today might see one or two ways to strengthen your writing, your message, or your professional authority, I see dozens—and I can help you implement all of them seamlessly.
